Chiswick Baths Happy days
Chiswick Baths were opened in Edensor Road 1910
Originally the baths were built to create work for the unemployed. There were two pools and were much loved. Many happy days were spent there – the picture demonstrates what Chiswick Baths represented. Freedom, family fun and healthy outdoor activity. Aren’t they happy here?

Some other great pools not to miss.
Thank you Anne for writing. So interesting, and I would say both pictures are the same lido. Again many thanks. Anne
I wanted to say thank you for your site and the pictures.
We had this picture of my grandmother (Margery Mawby) from 1923 which is
noted as being at Chiswick Open Air swimming baths. We had been puzzled by
the curtain that obscured one’s head but not one’s body. The pictures on
your site have cleared up that mystery! The following picture seems to have been part of the same set. I was wondering if it was also at Chiswick baths as I noted from your site some of
the changing cubicles seemed to be on top of the others.
Thankyou Anne. it does rather look as if it is the same pool. Anne
