Albatross History 7 1980 Juliet Green leads the “British Divers” in the Parade. She was entered in a special novice competition for all the fledgling divers that were around. She topped them!

Albatross History 7 1980 The girls came back from Monheim near Dussledorf having to find space in their luggage to transport their trophies!
It was indeed a marvellous experience and all divers really enjoyed themselves. The event organisers surpassed themselves with their wonderful hosting.
Self had the opportunity to judge internationally. I had to keep a close eye on the dive number board to know what dive I was about to judge. No electronics at this event. At least I was comforted by the international judging regulations of seven judges rather than the usual five. If I was way out on my points score I would be knocked out (not counted) together with another judge! The weather at one point made it necessary to consider continuing in the inside pool. This didn’t happen.
Whilst on the subject of the organisers it was a wonderful idea to collect all the little fledgling divers together watching the events, and hold a special novice event for them. As Juliet (top pic) was with us and to stop her from becoming bored, (although she was a banner carrier) we entered her. She topped the rostrum!
